Must Try Places to Eat Near South Yarmouth Cape Cod
Whenever I go to the Cape, I have two goals: 1. Relax & 2. Consume. You do what you will on your vacations, but mine always equates those two pillars of enjoyment. My family goes down to the Cape semi regularly and we eat out a lot. & I mean a LOT. With the exception of grilling on the 4th of July, you will often see our clan taking over one different restaurant each night. Let’s take a peek at some of our favorite locations to eat on the Cape:
908 Bistro
908 Bistro is a brand new dining location on the Cape. Founded in June 2022 by a husband and wife duo, they have let their culinary expertise shine through. I thoroughly enjoyed their outdoor patio and cozy atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind, and I was even able to share a conversation with the owner, Lindsay. I highly recommend supporting this new small business! Check out the Instagram Reel linked below for a closer look.
DiParma
DiParma Italian Table is one of several Italian restaurants I find myself at when I go to the Cape. Maybe it’s my love for pasta or my Italian blood, but I never get tired of Italian cuisine. This location is great for any occasion including birthdays, rehearsal dinners, business meetings, or your Friday night out dinner.
Captain Parkers
Captain Parkers Pub is your classic American Pub with all your New England seafood favorites including an award winning clam chowder. Family owned and opened by a Bostonian himself, this place is a great stop especially for large dinner parties. PRO TIP: Captain Parkers does NOT take reservations and operates on a first-come, first-serve basis. Get their in advance to put your name in and enjoy sitting at some of their outdoor picnic tables catching conversation with friends and family.
Bamboo Asian Restaurant
Bamboo serves the best Asian cuisine on Cape Cod. Located in Hyannis, I have NEVER experienced my food come out more quickly for a table of 10 than when we ate here as a family. I love to get their sushi rolls while my family enjoys a variety of other Asian Cuisine such as General Gau’s, pad thai, and more!
Yarmouth House
Yarmouth House is my family’s #1 go to restaurant. We’ve had parties up to 20 and have always been served and treated incredibly well. One of the main reasons we go are for their variety of lobster meals as well as their sunset dinner special (served between 3pm-6pm), a special menu that offers an appetizer, main course, and dessert for a quality price.
Four Seasons Trattoria
Four Seasons Trattoria is an incredible Italian restaurant located in South Yarmouth. From outside, this restaurant looks like a classic Italian pizza shop that caused my family to just drive by it for years. Finally, we gave it a try and, BOY, were we impressed. Inside is gorgeous seating fit for any special occasion. You’ll experience authentic Italian food, great service, and an amazing experience.
Gerardi’s Cafe
Gerardi’s Cafe is a quaint Italian Restaurant named after the owners who seek to create an environment that feels like home both in memories and taste. Their bread and oil as starters at the table are absolutely incredible and is one of the many reasons we love to eat at this authentic Italian restaurant. I love this intimate atmosphere and quality of food. Be sure to book a reservation in advance!
Good Friend’s Cafe
We’ve talked about a lot of dinner locations, but now I want to share with you my absolute favorite breakfast place on the Cape and probably anywhere: Good Friend’s Cafe. Chrissy Car, the owner of Good Friends Cafe since 2009, transformed this dining location to be a local’s favorite. Their delicious homemade grilled breads and Chrissy Scrambler made with egg, goat cheese, and apples are what keep me coming back for more every time I am on the Cape! Last vacation, I went THREE times… it’s THAT good. Check out the Instagram Reel linked below for a closer look.
Acai Mania
Acai Mania is a small icecream shop in South Yarmouth. There are a million different places to get icecream on the Cape, but this is the ONLY place I have ever found Acai at: a traditional Brazilian treat. Having traveled to Brazil multiple times, this is by far the best Acai I have had in the U.S. and perhaps even the world. I love heading to this shop, practicing my Portuguese, and indulging in a sweet Acai bowl full of nutella, fresh fruits, and plenty other toppings of my choice.
Brazilian Grill
Following the theme of Brazilian cuisine, the all time best Brazilian Steakhouse I’ve been to is Brazilian Grill in Hyannis. For one set price, you’ll experience an all-you-can-eat Brazilian Rodizio with over 16 different cuts of grilled meats, unlimited salad bar options (including SUSHI), and a hot bar. You can pair your meal with fresh juice and a homemade dessert. This is an experience you’ll never forget and well worth a visit! Check out the Instagram Reel linked below for a closer look.
This is just the tip of the iceberg for dining locations on the Cape, but these are some of my absolute favorites. As a foodie through and through, I’d love to hear your experiences and where you love to dine on the Cape!
Until next time,
